Ava Grace Duncombe was Born October 31, 2008. She was 3 1/2 weeks early. She was born at 26 weeks. She was 1.10lb and 13" inches Long.I (Shannon) got toxemia again. Ethan our first child who was 28 weeks when he was born. This time I got it earlier and got sicker faster. They were able to keep me on bed rest for a week before they had to do a emergency c-section on Halloween. It has been a long road, but we are truly blessed to have friends and family praying for Ava and our family. We thank you so much.
Ava Grace has been a true fighter since she was born. She had a heart surgery three weeks after she was born. They needed to close her PDA. A valve near her heart. Since her surgery she has been a rock star. She is off the vent now and is receiving 25% oxygen which we breath 21%, so not very much. She has a feeding tub threw her nose and is receiving 1 oz every three hours. She is now 3lbs 6 ozs and looking like a little baby girl. We are truly blessed to have her be apart of our lives. 
She is truly a fighter!!!

This has been such a long hard road. We are praying for the peace of God to surpass all understanding through all of this. Grant knows about baby Ava and calls her that when he prays for her.
