Ava is looking better today. She is not swollen anymore. They removed the tube out of her nose that helped with Gas and to help her tummy go down. Her tummy hasn't gone down yet, it is still pretty big. They think it is still to do with the large kidney stone. She is very fussy and they aren't sure why. Her diapers are a little dry so they are watching that very closely. We aren't sure if she is in pain due to the kidney stone, gas....who knows. It scares us a little because this is what happened right before we found out she had kidney stones. So hopefully everything will be ok. Her blood work is looking good. Her blood pressure has been pretty high. Her central line is still in(in her neck) So that helps to get blood fast so they can check it every hour.
It has been long...long...stay. We can't believe we have already been her 12 days. I hope we are on our way to third floor and we will stay there and not go back down to ICU. It is funny we have been back to ICU four times since we have been at the hospital. Ethan and Bella are really starting to get sad that we are gone all the time and Ava is not home yet. Mike is so busy now that it is tax time so the kids haven't had much time with us. We come home late and leave early. So we are trying to battle life in all directions.
Thankyou to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It means alot to us.

I love that I get these updates. I wish everyone else would post something, or maybe they don't even know this blog exists.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike and Shannon,
ReplyDeleteWe love you all so much. We are praying that the doctors will know how to help Ava. She is so strong--it is amazing. We pray that the Lord's Spirit will calm your hearts and minds and that everything will get improve soon.
