The Long Week To Come

So...not sure where to start...This weekend has been long and very tiring. On Friday the doctor noticed that Ava wasn't focusing on things yet with her eyes and so they had a nerve/brain doctor come look at her and they are running a bunch of tests. She has a MRI on Wednesday which they have to put her under for and a Spinal Tap. They are doing a spinal tap because her acid level in her body is high. That could be telling us that something is wrong with a nerve, muscle tissue, or something. It could be the cause of her not growing. She also has another eye and hearing test on Monday too.
The Kidney doctor came in and said her kidney looks great, but her calcium test came back very high. So they are doing a 24 hour urine test to look closer on that.
Her kidney stone surgery will also be this week. So hopefully they will get out all the kidney stones.
Ava is still very fussy and is not sleeping much...so hopefully these tests will tell us what is going on. Ava looks good, but looks very tired. Her eyes are so red from being so tired.
Mike and I have been taking turns staying with Ava. The nights are long, but we feel that we know more about her and know when things are wrong with her. Most nurses are great...but some do not know what they are doing. Ava needs alot of attention so it is hard when nurses aren't on top of giving her pain meds and watching her closely. We are very grateful for the doctors and nurses but as parents it is just very hard to watch our little girl in pain.
We are hoping this week we will get some anwsers and find out what is hurting our little girl.
Thank you to all for all the support, love and prayers.
