Grace Of God

Ava's MRI and Spinal Tap went well. She was under for over two and half hours, longer then any of her surgeries were. She did great. She woke up with no problems. We are still on the third floor and the doctors are not planning on moving us anytime soon. We hope to get some answers on her MRI today. With the spinal tap it could be a little while. Ava's sleep study came back and looked good. As long as the MRI looks good the only other major things that we are trying to figure is Ava needing to gain weight. They are trying to figure out a way to up her calorie intake but not have any calcium in it or very little. Her calcium level is still very high in her blood which can cause more kidney stones. Her ultrasound is today so I am praying that the kidney stones are gone.
Ava's hearing and eye test went great. She passed her hearing test and just needs to be re-checked in four months. The only reason being is that sometimes when you are on a vent like Ava was for over ten tens it can take away some hearing or eye sight. As of right now she passed with flying colors. Her eyes looked good. She does have a delay but the doctor says she should catch up in a couple weeks or months. Ava is really only three weeks old when you go off my due date. So that makes great sense.
Mike and I are now hoping that Ava will gain weight and that the kidney will continue to work how it should.
The weeks are getting longer and more sad, not because of Ava not doing good, but just being away from my Mike and the kids. Mike is so busy with tax season so we are trying to make everything work.
We are so thankful for our little Ava Grace, she is such a trooper. She is out little Grace Of God.
I am so thankful to have such great friends. Laura, Kayla and Jen Gross have been spending alot of time at the hospital with me. There name badges now say family, which is so funny. Kayla and Laura spent the night at the hospital with me last week so the nurses think we are crazy. They ask the questions that I forget. The cards and calls have been very nice. Thank You
