Today Went Well

So as Marla said surgery went well. They took the stint out but was unable to get at the stones. Because she only has one kidney they don't what to mess with it to much. When they took out the stint the stint stretched out the opening about 4" so they are hoping some or all the stones will pass. If they don't pass as long as they don't bug her or cause the kidney to clog again they will leave them alone. They will be doing a ultrasound on Thursday to see if the kidney is still doing well and if any of the stones have passed. The kidney doctors are keeping a close eye on her. As she grows and gets older they will continue to watch the kidney and make sure it is working 100%.
Her calcium in her blood is still high so they are going to switch her formula to a calcium free formula because to much calcium can also cause kidney stones. We are not sure how long she will be on that. We are waiting for her 24 hour urine test results to come back and they will go from there.
Ava's hearing test did not happen today so they are guessing it will happen right away in the morning. Ava will also get her eyes checked and have her MRI and spinal tap done tomorrow. They do have to put her under for that, but they said not for long.
Ava is continuing not to sleep much, not gaining much weight and is still very fussy so we are trying to get to the bottom of all this. We are hoping tomorrow we will get some answers.
Ava is looking great and is getting taller. She is 17 inches. She is out growing her premmie clothes because she is getting tall. So we are moving up to the bigger premmie clothes and some newborns.
Ethan and Isabella are doing good. They are sad when we are all not together. We are trying to spend as much time with them as we can. When one of us is gone we have sleepovers in mommy and daddy's bed. We are trying to keep their schedules the same. Ethan loves to do everything like his dad. We had to go out and get him white shirts and white underwear to wear to bed...just like his dad. Bella keeps my shopping list ready and up to date. Everytime that we run out of something she says "put it on the list". She is also so excited for her birthday and wants to have a HUGE princess party. So we are looking forward to that. Ethan now is saying I am four and half, so he knows his birthday is coming up soon as well. He wants to go bowling again like last year.
Ethan and Bella are keeping smiles are our faces when things get tough or we get sad. We are so thankful for our children and the joy and love they bring to us.
